MEASURING YOUR CURTAINS

There are two steps when measuring for curtains:

  • Track / pole width (from left to right)
  • Height between the track / pole and the floor: this will be the height of your curtain (the drop)

Track / pole width

To obtain the width, all you need to do is measure the width of your track / pole (not including any decorative ends, or finials). For a perfect result, where possible, we recommend having the track / pole extend approximately 20 cm beyond your window on each side.

The maximum width will be different for each heading style, for technical reasons:

  • Eyelet heading max. width: 300 cm
  • Pencil pleat heading max. width: 250 cm
  • Rod pocket max. width: 200 cm

Curtain height

For an eyelet heading

  • Calculate the height between the top of the track / pole and the floor - FYI there is 2.5 cm between the top of the eyelet and the top of the curtain
  • We recommend allowing for a 5-cm clearance between the floor and the bottom of the curtain, for a ‘hover’ effect

For a pencil pleats heading

  • Calculate the height between the top of the track / pole and the floor
  • We recommend allowing for a 5-cm clearance between the floor and the bottom of the curtain, for a ‘hover’ effect

For a rod pocket heading

  • Calculate the height between the top of the track / pole and the floor
  • We recommend allowing for a 5-cm clearance between the floor and the bottom of the curtain, for a ‘hover’ effect
